Everything athletes and families need to prepare for Who’s Unstoppable Preseason Nationals. Review eligibility requirements, divisions, weight classes, weigh-in information, tournament rules, and other details before stepping onto the mat.

Eligibility & Divisions

Who’s Unstoppable Preseason Nationals welcomes boys and girls across Elementary, Middle School, and High School divisions. Eligibility is based on age and division requirements established for each tournament year.

Athlete Registration

All athletes must complete online registration before competing at Who’s Unstoppable Preseason Nationals.

A USA Wrestling membership is NOT REQUIRED to participate.

Age Eligibility

Division eligibility is determined by the athlete’s age as of October 1st.

Athletes must register in the division that corresponds with their eligible age group. Registrations entered outside the appropriate division may be removed from the event.

Review official age divisions before registering to ensure athlete is in the correct division.

Boys & Girls Divisions

Competition is available for both boys and girls, with divisions organized across:

  • Elementary
  • Middle School
  • High School

Each division has its own weight classes and competition structure.

Weight Classes

Weight classes are published before the tournament and organized by division.

Classes may be adjusted based on registration numbers to create stronger brackets and provide better match opportunities.

Weigh-In Information

  • Weight allowances: Elementary divisions receive a +0.2 lb allowance for the singlet. The 14U, 16U, and 18U divisions receive a +1.0 lb allowance.
  • Early weigh-in passes: The deadline to purchase passes online is September 15. After the deadline, passes may be purchased on-site with cash only.
  • Weigh-in locations: Weigh-ins will be available at the Sun Devil Fitness Complex and select approved remote locations.

Athlete Registration

Registration for Who’s Unstoppable Preseason Nationals is completed online. Before registering, athletes and families should review the current eligibility requirements, division information, weight classes, and weigh-in rules.

Before submitting registration, confirm:

  • Athlete name and contact information are correct
  • The athlete is entered in the appropriate age division
  • The correct weight class has been selected
  • Tournament rules and weigh-in requirements have been reviewed
  • Any required registration fees have been completed

Accurate registration information helps prevent delays during check-in, weigh-ins, and bracket preparation.

Weigh-In Information

Athletes must complete an approved weigh-in before competing at Who’s Unstoppable Preseason Nationals. Wrestlers may weigh in on-site at the tournament venue or use one of the approved remote weigh-in locations listed below.

Before weighing in, review the requirements, including any applicable weight allowance and required competition attire. Athletes should arrive prepared to make their registered weight class and follow all instructions provided by tournament staff or the approved remote weigh-in location.

Know Before You Wrestle

Rules & Regulations

Athletes should review the tournament rules before event day so they understand how competition will be conducted and what is expected of them throughout the event. These standards help keep matches consistent, organized, and safe across all divisions.

Competition Standards

Matches will follow the tournament’s published folkstyle rules and officiating standards. Athletes should be familiar with:

  • Folkstyle scoring and match procedures
  • Approved uniforms and competition gear
  • Headgear and mouthguard requirements
  • Rest periods between matches
  • Medical and injury decisions made during the competition

Tournament officials are responsible for applying and enforcing competition rules during the event.

Athlete Responsibilities

Each wrestler is responsible for arriving prepared and following all tournament requirements.

  • Register in the correct age division and weight class
  • Complete an approved weigh-in
  • Wear approved competition attire and footwear
  • Report to assigned mats and staging areas when called
  • Follow instructions from tournament officials and medical staff
  • Compete with appropriate sportsmanship throughout the event

How do I choose the correct division?

Can an athlete compete up an age group?

Some divisions allow younger athletes to enter, including 12U athletes in 14U and middle school athletes in 16U. Confirm the published eligibility notes before registering.

When and where are weigh-ins?

Approved remote weigh-in locations, contact details, and deadlines will be added to this page as they are confirmed.

What equipment should athletes bring?

Bring an approved wrestling uniform, wrestling shoes, headgear if required by your team or division, and any approved protective equipment.

Where can I find brackets and mat assignments?

Bracket and mat-assignment information will be shared through the tournament's official event communication once registration and weigh-ins are complete.
