Weight Divisions

Who’s Unstoppable Preseason Nationals offers divisions for boys and girls at the Elementary, Middle School, and High School levels. Division eligibility is based on each athlete’s age as of October 1, and athletes must compete in the appropriate age division.

All wrestlers must register online to compete. A USA Wrestling membership is NOT REQUIRED for this tournament. Weight classes are established by division and may be adjusted based on registration numbers to create competitive brackets and provide athletes with the best possible match opportunities.

Be sure to review the posted weight classes, eligibility requirements, and weigh-in information before registering.

Weigh-In Information

  • Weight allowances: Elementary divisions receive a +0.2 lb allowance for the singlet. The 14U, 16U, and 18U divisions receive a +1.0 lb allowance.
  • Early weigh-in passes: The deadline to purchase passes online is September 15. After the deadline, passes may be purchased on-site with cash only.
  • Weigh-in locations: Weigh-ins will be available at the Sun Devil Fitness Complex and select approved remote locations.

Rules & Regulations

Review the tournament requirements before arriving at Who’s Unstoppable Preseason Nationals. These rules cover athlete eligibility, weigh-ins, competition attire, and the folkstyle standards that will be used during the tournament.

Athlete Eligibility

Who’s Unstoppable Preseason Nationals is open to boys and girls competing in Elementary, Middle School, and High School divisions.

  • Athletes must register online to compete.
  • A USA Wrestling membership isNOT REQUIRED.
  • Division eligibility is based on the athlete's age as of October 1.
  • Athletes must compete in the appropriate age division.
  • Athletes registered outside their eligible division may be removed from the tournament.

Review your division and weight class carefully before completing registration.

Weigh-In Rules

Each wrestler will receive two consecutive attempts to make weight and may not leave the weigh-in area between attempts.

  • The second attempt will take place on the designated Last Chance Scale.
  • Wrestlers must wear a competition singlet during weigh-ins.
  • Weight allowances vary by division, so check the published division information before arriving.
  • Early weigh-ins will only take place at the Sun Devil Fitness Complex October 2nd from 1:00pm- 2:00pm unless otherwise noted.
  • Regular weigh-ins are available at the Sun Devil Fitness Complex approved remote sites October 2nd from 4:00pm- 6:00pm

Purchase your early weigh-in pass with your registration online before September 15, 2026. On-site passes will be available for cash only.

Uniforms & Gear

Wrestlers must compete in an approved singlet or two-piece wrestling uniform.

  • Compression shorts or board shorts may be worn with a tight-fitting shirt.
  • Shorts may not be baggy, have pockets, buttons, or snaps.
  • Girls must wear a compression women’s singlet or approved two-piece uniform.
  • Wrestling shoes with laces must be secured with a double knot.

Athletes should arrive with all required competition gear ready for inspection and use.

Folkstyle Rules

Competition will follow National Federation of State High School Associations folkstyle scoring rules with USA Wrestling modifications.

Additional tournament rules include:

  • Headgear is recommended but not required.
  • Mouthguards are not required, including for wrestlers with braces.
  • Double Bracketing: A minimum of 15 minutes of rest between matches.

Tournament officials will oversee competition and rule enforcement throughout the event.

Injury & Illness

Athlete safety is a priority throughout the tournament. If a wrestler becomes injured or ill during the event, they must receive medical clearance before returning to competition.

  • Athletes may not continue competing without medical clearance.
  • Injury and illness decisions will be made by the Chief Medical Officer.
  • All medical decisions made by the Chief Medical Officer are final.

Awards & Recognition

Individual Awards

Every weight class recognizes its top six finishers, with championship awards built to make the moment memorable.

  • 1st place: Gold medal and championship wall bracket
  • 2nd place: Silver medal
  • 3rd–6th place: Bronze medals
  • Seven Outstanding Wrestler championship belts
Team Cash Awards

Team cash awards recognize the top-scoring boys team in each eligible age group.

  • High School Boys: $1,000
  • Middle School Boys: $500
  • Elementary Boys: $250

The Robles Unstoppable Foundation Schloarship

Scholarship Benefits

The Robles Unstoppable Foundation will recognize two graduating seniors who are continuing their education.

  • One $500 scholarship for a graduating senior boy
  • One $500 scholarship for a graduating senior girl
  • Support for each recipient’s next step in higher education
Scholarship Requirements
  • Registered participant in the 2026 tournament
  • Minimum 3.2 GPA
  • College acceptance documentation
  • Essay of 500 words or fewer submitted by September 15
